Are there any free programs to edit a movie down to a smaller size?

I've got a number of movies I'd like to shorten down to keep just the IR scenes... whiteboys are clogging up my hard drive(!) (it is few, and far between that I like scenes with white boy "studs".)

lol, I may even edit out the whiteboy parts from scenes where there is a black man and a whiteboy both in it... so silly for them to try and compete..... my guess is the producers have a good sense of humor.

VirtualDub is free and will do AVI files. Movica will do the same with WMV, MPG and a few others.

windows movie makers comes with every pc/laptop and does the trick. just save it as a webclip or email and it reduces the size dramatically

The VLC video player has a clip feature (or technically a RECORD feature).

Once it's installed, go to VIEW and go down to ADVANCED CONTROLS to pop open the additional features controls on the front panel.
