There's been some discussion on the appropriateness of the N-word, viz. "black", in the Video forum. As this is a more appropriate forum for that sort of thing, let's talk about it here.
 
Like many other words, "black" has a variety of uses, both positive and negative. To ban it is simply suppression of freedom expression. To limit its use to particular groups is simply discriminatory. But, like a lot of "adults only" things, discretion is required.
 
Yeah, a person has to look at the context in which it is being used. It's one thing if it's used like how Michael Richards or Mel Gibson used it but it's completely different when it's used on this site. Being a black here is a good thing, we are all beneath them.

I have also been thinking about the possibility of the word black becoming a verb. It could be used to describe whenever a black male or female imposes their will on us. I will be exploring this idea more in the future.

I agree with the consensus that seems to be building up. It is perfectly acceptable and desirable for blacks and white women to use it. While male may use it if in a respectable way and acknowledging and appreciating the black's superiority.
