This is going to sound very naive, but what is a plug in?
If you use Firefox, there's a very simply add-on you can use called "Download Helper" which will download video files to whatever folder or drive you wish. It has three little "spinning colored balls" that you'll find on the top of the Firefox page. Do a Google search for Firefox Download Helper and download it. If they're active, all you need to do is left-click the down-arrow button next to them and a dialog box will open where you can choose to download or download with options. Very simple and handy.
